Meet The Band

Steve Gill - Lead Guitar, Vocals
Steve, along with Nigel is a co-founder of the band and has been in the music business for over forty years. He has worked with the likes of Jasper Carrott, The Bee Gees and has written songs for Sir Cliff Richard and Iris Williams.
His influences range from The Beatles, Crowded House, The Police and Tommy Emmanuel.

Nigel Whatling - Drums Percussion
Nigel has been around in the music business for well over forty years and has worked with the likes of Tina Turner and the Stylistics. His influences are, Genesis, Phil Collins, Buddy Rich and Terry Bozzio. Nigel, like Steve, is a co-founder of the band.

Ken Wilcock - Guitars - Vocals
Ken has been playing on and off for over 40 years. He has previously played in bands such as, Tyrus ( a blues / rock band) between 1979 and 1982 and Fuzion in 2007. Ken joined The Curves in May 2008.
His influences range from Thin Lizzy to Jimmy Hendrix and Robin Trower.

Keith Morris - Bass Guitar
Keith, who joined the playing line up in 2000, previously helped run the band. This involved looking after the equipment, and taking bookings. His influences are Sting and John Deacon of Queen.

Tina Whatling
Tina deals with all the correspondence and bookings for the band. At functions she helps with the equipment, and she carries out sound checks. Most importantly, she keeps the band fed and watered.

Big Kev
Our Roadie, “ Big Kev”, has been with us for quite a few years now, and does a sterling job. He carries the “gear” in and out of the different venues, maintains it, and carries out running repairs, such as replacing broken strings and sorting electrical problems. He does sound checks, along with Tina, and keeps the drinks topped up.
